Battery Unit Removal
The PriusBattery Unit isremoved viatheback seatingcompartment, howeverit alsoneeds
disconnecting from thebootas well.
So in the car boot:
1. Open Car bootand remove bootlining push lockfasteners (recommend usinga Door
Tool)
2. Foldback sidelinings and remove center lining and protective plastic plate.
3. Open circuit breaker
4. Pull outcircuit breaker
5. Unpluggreycircuit breakerplug(1)
6. UnplugOrange,White, and Blackchargerplugs(3)
7. Unbolt and remove charger
8. Unbolt and remove protective bracket on left
9. Unbolt Left sideair duct
10. Unplugwhiteair ductfanplug(1)
11. Unplugblueand whitecomputerplugs(2)
12. Pop off air duct(left) and ventilation pipe(top)
13. Unbolt back main support bolts, center bottom (2)
In back seat compartment:
14. Remove head rests
15. Unbolt left, right and center bolts.
16. Pop theback rest and theseatoutinupwardsdirection
17. Unbolt (3) front air duct, and remove topscrew (1)
18. Remove front air duct
19. Unplugmain power plugs(2)
20. Unbolt front main support bolts, all the14m m ones witha bigwasher(7)
21. Carefully move thebattery unit outforwardmakingsurethereareno cablesorducts
stuckorattached
22. Lift outbattery unit withmin 2 personsas it weighs85kg !
