Suzuki Kizashi Service Repair Workshop Manuals

In July of 2009, Suzuki unveiled a midsize car, the Kizashi. This car was also available in markets in Japan, Australia, India, New Zealand and Europe. The Suzuki Kizashi repair manual is a valuable reference for any Kizashi owner.

In Japanese “kizashi” means “something good is coming”.  Sadly, it would not be this car. It suffered from poor sales worldwide and was discontinued by December of 2014.

The Kizashi was a mid-sized sedan that was available in 4 trim levels. Those levels were the base model, SE, Sport GTS, and Sport SLS. All of these trim levels had several standard features on them. Included as standard were front wheel drive and a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. It could be purchased as a standard manual transmission or as a CVT, continuous variable transmission. Customers were given the choice between 17 inch or 18-inch alloy wheels.

Some options for consumers were in regards to the interior. They could choose between cloth seats or leather seats. Additionally, a great sound system was installed which also included both iPod connectivity and Bluetooth capability. Some models had AWD available as an option. The AWD model included a driver activated 2WD, which helped to save fuel.

Some standard features on the Suzuki Kizashi include anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control, front and rear air bags, and side curtain airbags. The AWD model also had an enhanced stability control feature.

The Suzuki Kizashi vehicles sold in India were imported as completely built units. Because of this, they had import duties of 105%. This was obviously a huge deterrent and greatly affect sales. Not surprisingly, sales were very poor in the Indian market.

Pakistan is currently the only country were the Suzuki Kizashi is sold. Again, it is being imported and sold as a completely built unit.

It is important to note that this car did win some motor awards. The vehicle won the award for AutoPacific’s annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards for overall satisfaction among all new midsize cars sold or leased in the US.

Despite winning awards, the car did suffer from some problems. In 2014 Suzuki recalled a number of cars because there was an issue with spiders weaving webs in the evaporative canister which in turn caused negative pressure and led to fires.

Despite the issues and short history, the Kizashi enjoyed a brief spot in the company’s automotive history. A great reference for the car is definitely the Suzuki Kizashi service manual.
