Suzuki Cultus Service Repair Workshop Manuals

The Suzuki Cultus is a supermini car that debuted in 1983. If you are a Cultus owner, you should consider adding the Suzuki Cultus repair manual to your garage. This manual is a good way for you to ensure your car is always in top shape.

From 1983-1988 the first generation Cultus was debuted.  It was originally intended to be a GM project, but they scrapped the idea and sold it to Suzuki for 5% of shares. This car was then further developed by Suzuki and put up for sale in many different export markets. It had a small 3 and 4 cylinder engines. This generation also had a leaf sprung suspension. These early cars were sold in Japan, Europe and Finland.

Depending on which model you purchased, there were 2 different headlight styles. The lower end car had the headlights recessed. The higher priced model had the headlights mounted flush. This early version was sold in Australia and Indonesia as well.

By 1968 Suzuki replaced the leaf springs with coil springs. The grille and headlights were updated and the interior was redesigned as well. They also added a turbocharged version to the lineup.

In June of 1986 the GTi was introduced. It was a sportier 3 door hatch with a manual transmission. Eventually a 5 door model was added as well. Inside, velour was added to the door panels and seat trim. Electric adjustable mirrors were also featured in the updates.

The second generation was released in 1998.  All of the models in this generation were given updated front and rear fascia. They also redesigned the dashboards. GS sedans were fitted with power steering and newer hubcaps. Later updates would include air conditioning and power windows.

This generation also saw the addition of several different trim levels offered in several different markets. There were models offered with automatic transmission, diesel engines and diesel engines with power steering.  

The 3rd generation started in the latter half of 1998. During this time period the car was rebranded and was continued to be sold in markets across America, Europe and Asia.

The current generation, the 4th generation, began in April of 2017 and continues to this day.
