Ssangyong Rodius / Stavic Service Repair Workshop Manuals
The SsangYong Rodius -- sold in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and South Africa as the Stavic -- is an MPV introduced in late 2004 SsangYong Motor Company. It was available in seven-, nine-, and eleven-seat configurations; a 5-seater version is also made available for purchase in Hong Kong. The engines were the Mercedes-Benz licensed 3.2 L 6-cylinder gasoline engine producing 217 hp and 309 N⋅m the 2.7 L 5-cylinder common rail diesel engine 162 hp and 342 N⋅m. The seats were multifunctional and could be folded down to act as tables or folded further to add extra cargo space. The Rodius received a facelift in August 2008, in which reduced criticism concerning its appearance. Eventually, because of low popularity, the Rodius's production ceased in Europe without a direct successor on December 31, 2011. However, in 2012, the Rodius made a comeback under the name Rodius Euro. Which came with the Di200 diesel engine that produced 153 hp, it was offered with either a 5G-Tronic automatic or a 6-speed MT unit. Although, the manual transmission was often criticized by reviewers for a poor gearchange.
The car was criticized on its launch by many critics for poor handling, build quality, refinement, performance, emissions, safety, ride, and interior finish; but praised for its value for money, space saving, practicality, number of seats, after-sales service, the availability of 4WD, Mercedes-Benz mechanicals, and generous warranty terms. Many were used as airport taxis in part, to the ample space available and generous warranty.
The second-generation Rodius, called the Korando Turismo, was launched in 2013, this new model came in nine-, ten-, and eleven-seat configurations -- in addition to the standard five and seven-seat variants. Powering it all, was a 2.0 L turbo diesel engine paired with either a 5-speed Mercedes-Benz-sourced automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 2016+ Turismo offers an updated 7-speed Mercedes-Benz e-Tronic gearbox along with the old 6-speed manual initially offered.
A facelifted version was launched in July 2018, with similar headlights, a new front grille, a resigned bonnet, a new front bumper, redesigned front fenders, a new steering wheel, and new infotainment unit.
