G37

Infiniti is the American luxury brand of Nissan Motors. Infiniti entered the luxury sedan segment in 1989, backed by Nissan’s stellar reputation for reliability, and brought upscale styling and materials coupled with outstanding performance and handling characteristics. Owners can easily maintain and repair their cars with an Infiniti G37 service manual.

The Infiniti G37 is part of the G-Series of Infiniti luxury sedans, coupes and convertibles. Power is provided by the 3.7 Liter version of the venerable V6 used in the G35. The G37 was introduced alongside the G35 in model year 2009 and shared exterior and interior design with the G35. Power was increased to nearly 330 horsepower and engineers refined the engine and transmission options to provide smooth, stable high speed performance and long service life reliability.

The G37 was available as a coupe/ convertible. The automatically folding hardtop allows owners to quickly transition from the noise-free envelope of the luxurious coupe to the wild wind-in-your-face fun that have made convertibles among the most popular cars in every segment.

The G37 introduced the American market to the Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) system that allows the timing and speed at which the intake and exhaust valves open and close to allow for superior fuel economy and higher performance. The technology is similar to that used by BMW and Toyota.

The Infiniti G-Series continued to be available with a manual transmission, an option most luxury sedan manufacturers had moved away from years earlier. The available manual transmission was particularly popular with buyers who enjoyed the high performance aspect of the G37. Equipped with a six speed manual transmission, the G37 was capable of accelerating 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, a blazing speed for a large, luxury car.

The power, handling and elegant refinement of the Infiniti G37 placed it in competition with Lexus, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar. The Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price of $33,000 made the Infiniti G-Series enticing to buyers who recognized the Infiniti offered better value than higher-priced competitors. Today, owners of the G37 are seeing their decision pay off, as the highly reliable and powerful cars are holding value well. The home mechanic can affordably keep their car road-worthy with an Infiniti G37 repair manual that provides step by step instructions for basic maintenance and directions for overhauling of each system.
