G35

Infiniti is the American luxury brand of Nissan Motors. Infiniti entered the luxury sedan segment in 1989, backed by Nissan’s stellar reputation for reliability, and brought upscale styling and materials coupled with outstanding performance and handling characteristics. Infiniti introduced the G35 sedan in 2003 and it became a very successful model. Repairing and maintaining these luxury cars is easy with an Infiniti G35 service manual.

Infiniti’s G-Series cars were luxury executive cars that began with the G20 in 1990. The G-Series cars were renamed in 2014 for the 2015 model year to reflect the manufacturers change from the G-Series to the Q-Series. The Infiniti G35 was based on the Nissan Skyline sedan and brought increased performance and a rear wheel drive platform to the G-Series. The G35 was replaced by the G37 in model year 2006.

Infiniti has always been known as a performance-oriented luxury automobile manufacturer, and the G35 is quintessential Infiniti. The 3.5 L V6 that the G35 derives its name from was a potent power plant, turning in 260 hp in the earliest, base model and climbing to a pavement shredding 306 hp in the 2005 G35 6MT version. In testing, that model torched the 1/4 mile in 13.8 seconds at nearly 103 mph.

The Infiniti G35 is a great example of a well built, powerful luxury executive sedan. Infiniti designers decided early in the creation of their cars to forego the traditional woodgrain and chrome elements typical of luxury sedans in favor of leather and vinyl padded surfaces, smooth and ergonomic contours and logical gauge and control placement.

The Infiniti G35 was initially introduced in either a sedan or coupe body style, with automatic and manual transmissions available. Infiniti located the engine as far to the rear of the engine bay and as low as possible to achieve close to a 50/50 weight distribution, increasing the potential for aggressive handling. Models were available with an All Wheel Drive system, also, adding to the dynamic range. The Infiniti G35 was the Motor Trend Car of the Year in 2003.

The Infiniti G-Series cars remain popular, both in the luxury segment that they were built to fit and in the tuner crowd. The durable and powerful engine and available manual transmission make the Infiniti G35 a fantastic platform to build a street racer or high performance street and strip cruiser. Maintenance and repair are easy with an Infiniti G35 repair manual that gives the home mechanic step by step instructions on routine maintenance and complete teardown and overhaul of all the vehicle systems.
