Honda Ridgeline Service Repair Workshop Manuals

The Honda Ridgeline is the only Honda truck available in North America. The Ridgeline has experienced many changes and improvements across the years it was produced, but it retains a spacious interior and is a very safe truck to drive. If you run into any issues with your truck, keep a Honda Ridgeline repair manual lying around for you to consult. Several issues can easily be fixed in your own garage, saving you a costly trip to a repair shop!

The timeline of the Ridgeline is quite interesting. To put things into perspective, Honda only manufactures two trucks - the Ridgeline and another model known as the Acty that is only sold in Japan. The first generation was quite lengthy, beginning in 2006 and finishing in 2014. Many critics were surprised at how late Honda entered the truck market, but that didn’t deter Honda from trying with the Ridgeline.

The very first model of Ridgeline was designed with the purpose of targeting customers that wanted the functionality and power of a truck, while still offering the comfort and reliability that a smaller car like an SUV might provide. During 2006 and 2008, all Ridgelines came with a J35A9 V6 engine, and between 2009 and 2014, they came with a more powerful J35Z5 V6 engine. All models were standard equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

While the Ridgeline stayed in the same generation, it experienced two major changes that could be classified as sub generations. In 2009, major changes were made to the interior and exterior appearance of the vehicle. This happened again in 2012, although the changes were fairly minor. Nearly every year of the first generation experienced some form of update or change to the Ridgeline model, a sign of Honda’s mixed success with the model.

Sales started to dip in 2014 for the Ridgeline. Honda did plan on creating a second generation of Ridgelines, but wanted to take time to accurately design a vehicle that would find better success in the North American market. They waited until 2017 to release the second generation, a truck which is eerily similar to Honda’s 3rd generation Pilot model. Newer ridgelines are bigger, stronger, come with better transmissions and all-wheel-drive systems, and have better fuel economy overall.

No matter what year of Ridgeline you own, you can find a Honda Ridgeline service manual pdf that will detail everything you need to know to take care of routine maintenance on your own! You can gain a better understanding of your vehicle, allowing you to recognize when it isn’t performing at it’s best and how to fix that when it occurs. The Ridgeline isn’t the most common truck out there, but it’s quite a nifty little Honda vehicle that performs its job well.
