44. If equipped with an automatic transmission, install the four converter-to-flywheel attaching nuts. Tighten the nuts to 89 ft. lbs. (121 Nm). 45. Install the flywheel inspection plate. Tighten the bolts to 13-17 ft. lbs. (17-23 Nm). 46. The balance of the installation is the reverse of the removal. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation valve. 3. Loosen the valve cover retaining bolts and studs. 4. Remove the valve cover. 5. Remove and discard the valve cover gasket. To install:

6. Install the valve cover onto the cylinder head. 7. Tighten the two bolts and the three stud bolts retaining the valve cover to 6-8 ft. lbs. (8-11 Nm). 8. Install the positive crankcase ventilation valve. 9. Connect the negative battery cable. 10. Check the oil level and add as necessary. PASSENGER SIDE VALVE COVER 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Remove the bolts and position the EGR bracket aside. 3. Remove the crankcase ventilation hose. 4. Loosen the valve cover retaining bolts and studs. 5. Remove the valve cover. 6. Remove and discard the valve cover gasket. To install: 7. Install a new valve cover gasket. 8. Install the valve cover onto the cylinder head. 9. Tighten the two bolts and the three stud bolts retaining the valve cover to 6-8 ft. lbs. (8-11 Nm). 10. Install the crankcase ventilation hose. 11. Install the EGR bracket. 12. Connect the negative battery cable. 13. Check the oil level and add as necessary. 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L Engines DRIVER'S SIDE VALVE COVER
