1. Tilt the RH seat back for access to the B-pillar lower panel retaining screw (not shown in illustration,
under the cover, 2), if equipped.
2. If equipped, using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the RH B-pillar
lower trim panel screw cover and remove the retaining screw.

3. Apply the parking brake.
4. Place the ignition switch to the On position, apply the service brakes and place the gear selector lever into

the Neutral position.
5. Place the ignition switch to the Off position.
6. Using a small flat bladed tool or equivalent, separate the retaining ring (1) and slide down the shifter
shaft.

7. Remove the spare tire cover/trunk floor carpet from over the spare tire well.
8. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

9. Using a thin wire type tool, locate and press the release while pulling up on the shifter knob (3).
10. Remove the shifter knob (3) and retaining ring (2).
11. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, gently pry between the shifter bezel
(1) and the floor console to release the snap retainers that secure the bezel.Do not pull with excessive
force or fully remove at this time.
12. Disconnect the shifter bezel wiring harness and remove the shifter bezel (1).

13. Remove the two screws (4) securing the storage bin (1) to the console.
14. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, gently pry between the storage bin (1)
and the floor console side close out panel to release the two snap retainers that secure the storage bin (1)
to the front console and close out panel.
15. Disconnect the 12V ignition power outlet wiring harness (3) from the rear of the storage bin (1).
16. Disconnect the LED/Lamp wiring harness (2) from the storage bin (1) and remove the storage bin from
the I/P.

17. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, gently pry between the switch-bank
assembly (1) and the instrument panel to release the snap retainers that secure the switch-bank assembly
(1) to the instrument panel and pull away from instrument panel for access to remove the connector
using the following steps:

NOTE: Only disconnect the switch-bank assembly wiring harness connector by
following the specific steps following this step.
CAUTION: Never pull the connector out by the wires. Failure to follow these
instructions will damage or break the wires and/or connector.

18. Push in on the 40 way connector (1) of the switch-bank assembly.

19. Gently push down on the connector release lock (1).

20. Using a pocket screw driver or a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent (1), gently
CAUTION: Push the 40 way connector in before pushing on the locking clip.
Failure to follow these instructions will damage or break the
connector locking clip.

pry on one side of the connector (2) to remove.

21. Remove the retainers (1) from the Telematics Gateway Module (TGM) (2) and pull out far enough to
access the connectors on the back of the TGM.

22. Disconnect the antenna(s) (1), RF HUB and UCI cables (4), video cable (3) and wiring connectors (2)
from the TGM.
CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on
the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.

23. Remove the TGM from the vehicle.

24. Remove the right side instrument panel silencer push in retainers.
25. Disconnect the LED harness (1) and remove the right side instrument panel silencer (2).

26. On the RH side and using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, gently pry
between the instrument panel and the floor console side close out panel (1) to release the two snap
retainers that secure the close out panel to the instrument panel.
27. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, gently pry between the floor console

side close out panel (1) and the floor console to release the five snap retainers that secure the close out
panel to the floor console and remove the panel.

28. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the RH front door scuff plate
(1).
29. Remove the RH rear door scuff plate the same as the front.

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the B-pillar trim, only loosen for access to
route the backup camera wiring harness.
