Introduction
A . Using the manual
General
The purpose of this manual is to assist Distributors and
Deal ers in the efficient installation, maintenance and
repai r of MASSEY FERGUSON machinery. Carrying
out the procedures as deta1leo. togetner with the use of
soecial tools where appropriate . wil l enable the opera-
tions to be completed within the time stated in the repai r
time schedule.-

page contains the following information :

Repairs and replacements
When parts have to be replaced. 1t is essential that only
genui ne MASSEY FERGUSON parts are used.
Attention is particularly drawn to the lollowing points
concerning repai rs and the fitt ing of replacement parts
and accessories.
Safet y features embodied in the tractor ma y be 1mpa1-
red if other than genuine parts are fitt ed.
In certain ter ritories. legislation prohibits the f itt ing of
parts not to the tractor manufacturer ' s specification.
Torque wrench setti ng figures given in the Workshop
Manual must be strictly adhered to. Locking devices
must be fitted where specified. If the efficiency of a
locking device 1s impaired during removal i t must be
renewed.
The tractor warranty may be inval idated by the f itting of
other than genuine MASSEY FERGUSON oans All
MASSEY FERGUSON reolacement parts have t ne ful l
backing of the anuiacturefs warranrv MASSEY
FERGUSON Distributors and Dealers are obliged to
supply only genuine service parts.
Repair time schedule
