Disconnect thespark plugwireandground against theengine toprevent unintended starting. • Periodically check tomake sure theblades come tocomplete stopwithin approximately (5)fiveseconds after operating the blade disengagement control. Iftheblades donotstopwithin the this time frame, your machine should beserviced professionally byaSears orother qualified service dealer. • Check brake operation frequently asitissubjected towear during normal operation. Adjust andservice asrequired. • Check theblade(s) andengine mounting bolts atfrequent intervals forproper tightness. Also, visually inspect blade(s) fordamage (e.g., excessive wear, bent, cracked). Replace the blade(s) with theoriginal equipment manufacturer's (O.E.M.) blade(s) only, listed inthismanual. Useofpartswhich donot meet theoriginal equipment specifications may lead toimproper performance andcompromise safety! • Mower blades aresharp.
