Check condition and security of seats and seatbelts 2. Check operation of all lamps, horns and warning indicators 3. Check operation of front/rear wipers and washers and condition of wiper blades 4. Select the LOW range gears and drive the vehicle 3 to 4 vehicle lengths then re-select HIGH range gears 5. Replace pollen filter MAIN SERVICE (VEHICLE EXTERIOR) 6. Check tyre pressures 7. Check tyre condition 8. Check tyre tread depth 9. Remove road wheels 10. Inspect brake pads for wear, calipers for leaks and disks for condition 11. Replace brake fluid (Every 3 years)* 12. Renew fuel filter element (Diesel) 13. Drain fuel sedimentor (Diesel) 14. Refit road wheels to opposite sides of the same axle (Use anti-seize compound on spigot bore) (not HEV) 15. Renew front and rear camshaft timing belts, tensioners and tensioner bolt (3.0 Diesel Every 7 years) 26. Renew Dynamic Response fluid reservoir (where fitted) 27. Check/top-up brake and Dynamic Response fluid levels and screen washer reservoirs 28. Renew engine oil and filter 29. Clear debris from auxiliary oil coolers MAIN SERVICE (UNDER VEHICLE) 30. Renew transfer box oil, replace drain and fill plug washers (Every 5 years) 31. Renew locking differential oil (Every 5 years) 32. Renew front and rear non-locking differential oil (Every 10 years) 33. Renew automatic gearbox fluid and filter (not HEV Every 10 years) 34. Renew automatic gearbox fluid and filter (HEV) 35. Renew fuel tank filter (Petrol) (Every 10 years) 36. Check for free play in all suspension and body mounting rubbers 37. Check condition of all suspension, driveshafts and steering boots and gaiters 38. Replace all flexible brake hoses (Every 6 years)* 39. Check visually brake servo hose, brake, fuel and Dynamic Response pipes, unions, and electrical harnesses for chafing, leaks and corrosion 40. Check for fluid leaks 41. Check exhaust system for leaks, security and damage 42. Check steering rod ball joint fixings and condition of ball joints, dust covers and EPAS water drain valve 43. If fault lamp(s) are illuminated, interrogate that system using SDD and report findings* 44. Carry out road test (see WARNING over page) 45. Reset service interval announcement indicator 46. Reset oil level indicator 47. Endorse service record 48. Check for any applicable outstanding service actions or recalls 49. Report any unusual features of vehicle condition and additional work required MAIN SERVICE (UNDER VEHICLE) The maintenance items listed, are those recommended for vehicles operating under normal driving, road and climatic conditions. More frequent attention may be necessary if the vehicle is subject to stop/start operation, extremes of temperature, dusty conditions, off road driving or frequent towing of trailers. Arduous Usage Servicing Requirements. WARNING: Two wheel roller tests must not be carried out. Four wheel roller tests must be limited to 5 km/hour (3 miles/hour). IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT: After 50 miles continuous use in severe off road conditions - wading, deep mud and abrasive grit/slurry - the electric park brake should be inspected and cleaned and the ancillary drive belt should be inspected and cleaned. When the vehicle is used in dusty or field conditions or deep wading, frequent attention to the air cleaner may be required. When the vehicle is used in areas where fuel quality is poor, more frequent draining of the fuel filter/ sedimentor may be required. For full details regarding the operations contained in this maintenance check sheet, please refer to the workshop manual. GLOSSARY: MAIN SERVICE = The main service is applicable to all vehicles. Main Service "A" is applicable at 12 months/16,000 miles, 36 months/48,000 miles, 60 months/80,000 miles 84 months/112,000 miles and so on. Main Service "B" is applicable at 24 months/32,000 miles, 48 months/64,000 miles, 72 months/96,000 miles, 96 months/128,000 miles and so on.
