Isuzu Ascender Service Repair Workshop Manuals

Even though Isuzu has produced several SUV’s, cars, and trucks hopefully you are fortunate enough to own an Isuzu Ascender. If you do own an Isuzu Ascender you should consider adding the Isuzu Ascender Repair Manual to along with it.

The Isuzu Ascender was actually built for Isuzu by General Motors. This is due to the partnership the two companies had with each other.

Although the Isuzu Ascender was sold in the United States, it was never sold in Canada. The Isuzu Ascender debuted in 2003 as a 7 passenger SUV and it replaced the Isuzu Trooper. In 2004 the 5 passenger Isuzu Ascender was released. This vehicle replaced the Isuzu Rodeo and Axiom.

Unfortunately, the Isuzu Ascender had poor reviews with regards to getting repairs done in service shops and the Kelly Blue Book value for them was pretty low. And the end of 2006 saw Isuzu dropping the Ascender from the United States market.; production officially ended on June 30, 2006.

By 2010 the Isuzu Ascender was being replaced by the GMC Terrain.

One feature that did change with different model year releases was the engine used in the Isuzu Ascender. From 2003-2008 certain models used a 4.2L engine. From 2003-2004 certain models used a 5.3L engine. And from 2005-2007 certain Ascender models used a 5.3L engine with Displacement on Demand.

General Motors and Isuzu had to recall almost 260,000 vehicles in 2012 due to problems with power circuits in the door lock switches and power windows that could cause fires. In addition to several models owned by General Motors, this recall did include the Isuzu Ascender.

The next recall to affect Isuzu was in 2014. This recall involved more than 315,000 vehicles in North America. This particular recall involved the low beams in headlights and the daytime running lights. These lights were malfunctioning and that increased the risk of accidents. Again, this recall involved several models owned by General Motors and did include the Isuzu Ascender.

Although Isuzu is no longer manufactured and sold in the United States, their vehicles enjoy a following by car enthusiasts. It is possible to buy these cars through auto traders and auctions. The Isuzu Ascender is a great addition to an Isuzu collection.

If you are a collector and own an Isuzu Ascender, be sure to add the Isuzu Ascender workshop manual along with your collection.
