That is a tough one to answer without seeing the machine, because prices on these fluctuate quite a lot depending on where you live and how hard it's been worked.
Still, if you are in the US market, here is what we generally see:
- The "Book" Value: If you look at NADA or JD Power, they might tell you it’s worth around $3,500 to $4,000.
- The "Real World" Value: Try finding a running 700 EFI for $3,500 and you'll see it's not that easy. In the real world, a decent running 2008 usually fetches between$5,000 and $6,500. If it has low hours, a winch, a plow, or a cab system, you could see upwards of $7,500.
- The "Farm Truck" Value: If the seats are torn, the bed is banged up, and the CV axles are clicking, you are looking at the $4,000 - $4,500 range.
The 700EFI is a legendary engine though. Honestly, if it runs well, it’s often worth more to keep than to sell. With the price of new side-by-sides hitting $20k+ these days, a solid, paid-off Ranger 700 is hard to beat tbh.
