The 2AR-FE (2.5L) and 2AZ-FXE (2.4L hybrid) engines didn’t suddenly change between 2011 and 2012. Toyota tends to keep these engines the same for several years, especially on models like the Camry. So mechanically, procedures, specs, torque values, timing, etc. are the same across those years.
That’s why the manual is labeled “2011” — it’s tied to the engine generation, not just one single model year. If you’re working on a 2012 Camry (or another Toyota) with the same 2AR-FE or 2AZ-FXE, this manual will do the job just fine.
