Yeah, the 2001 V70 does have a radiator fan, it’s an electric fan, not belt-driven. It sits right behind the radiator, engine side, in a plastic shroud. You can’t really miss it once you’re looking in there.
The fan module is usually bolted right onto the fan assembly itself. It’s not some separate box hidden elsewhere — look on the fan/shroud and you’ll see the module with a plug going into it.
