Yes, it does. However, it is important to know that unlike a lot of other Mercedes where the Gateway is a separate box under the dash, on the CLK (W209), the Central Gateway function is integrated directly into the Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS).
In the software, you will find the specific procedure to remove and replace the EIS by navigating to Group 54 > 54.21 Control units / basic modules. Look for document ar80.57-p-1000p ("Remove/install electronic ignition switch control unit"). That is the exact OEM procedure you need to replace the module.
