On a 2014 Trailblazer, a squeak from the right front when you hit bumps is usually something rubber or dry metal up in the suspension. These things are pretty common:
- Upper/lower control arm bushings drying out — Super common squeak on Chevys once the rubber gets old
- Sway bar link or bushings — Those little links love to squeak when they get worn or loose
- Strut top mount — If the bearing’s sticking, it’ll squeak or groan over bumps
- Ball joint starting to dry out — Especially if the boot is cracked and dirt got in there
- Shock shaft seal — If the shock’s tired, it can squeak before it starts leaking
Quick way to chase it down:
- With the truck parked, bounce the right front corner by hand
- Have someone listen down low near the wheel
- Spray a little silicone spray (not grease) on one bushing at a time
— if the noise changes or goes quiet, that’s your problem
If it squeaks worse in the morning or when the weather’s cold, that’s almost always a rubber bushing drying out.
Nothing sounds dangerous from what you described, but it’s worth checking before the part wears right through — squeaks usually show up before the sloppy handling.
