Yes, the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder SV has an electronic throttle body and no separate IAC valve. Idle is controlled by the throttle plate itself, so when people say “clean the TB and the IAC” on these, they’re basically talking about cleaning the throttle bore and the area around the plate.
Couple of things to keep in mind:
- Since it’s ETB, it’s a good idea to do an idle/throttle relearn after cleaning, especially if the idle goes high or hunts afterward.
- Don’t go crazy forcing the plate open with the key on. Best is: key off, open it gently by hand, spray throttle body cleaner on a rag and wipe the gunk out instead of flooding it.
- There’s no separate IAC you can unbolt and clean like on older Nissans – it’s all built into how the throttle body and ECM manage airflow.
After cleaning, if it idles weird, you can either:
- Do the “pedal dance” idle air volume learn (key on/off + gas pedal sequence), or
- Have it done with a scan tool – faster and less annoying.
In any case, this 👉🏻 2015 Nissan Pathfinder Service & Repair Manual should contain every procedure revolving around the ETB and ECM, including step-by-step instructions, clear images, and exploded-view illustrations. If you want to go deep, it's a valuable resource indeed.
