Here’s how you can tell which chassis your Jetta is:
- The A5 chassis covers model years 2005–2010 (also known as the Mk5 Jetta).
- The A6 chassis starts from 2011 onward (that’s the Mk6).
An easy way to confirm is to check the 10th digit of your VIN:
- If it’s 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or A, that’s an A5.
- If it’s B or later, that’s an A6.
Since the manual you’re looking at covers 2005–2011, it’s built for the A5 platform, which includes all those model years before the full redesign. So if your Jetta is up to 2010, this manual’s the right one.
