If you’re talking about the rear cargo cover clip on your Audi A6 Avant (C8) — the little piece that holds the roller blind in place — here’s the simple way to replace it:
- Retract the cargo blind all the way so it’s not under tension. Makes life easier and avoids the thing snapping back on you.
- Pop off the old clip. Most of those side clips just slide or snap out of their mount — use a small flathead or plastic trim tool to gently pry it free. If it’s cracked, it might fall apart anyway.
- Line up the new clip with the slot or pin on the roller blind housing. Slide it in until it clicks — don’t force it, it should seat snugly.
- Reinstall the blind into its side sockets in the trunk trim. Make sure it rolls out and locks properly.
If one side’s loose, the other will never lock in right, so replace both clips if you can.
That said, this 2021 Audi A6 Avant (C8) Service & Repair Manual actually shows a quick diagram for this in the luggage compartment trim section — it’s a 5-minute job once you see how it fits together 👍🏻
