On the 2024 Kawasaki Mule UTV, the fuel filter is usually an inline filter located along the fuel line — either under the seat, near the tank, or along the frame rail depending on the model (like SX, Pro FX, or Pro MX).
Here’s how you generally remove it:
- Turn off the engine and disconnect the battery — safety first.
- Relieve fuel pressure if needed (some models don’t build much pressure, but better safe than sprayed).
- Locate the fuel filter — it’s usually a small canister or clear plastic filter inline with rubber fuel hoses on both ends.
- Use pliers or a screwdriver to loosen the hose clamps on each side.
- Pull the hoses off the filter — have a rag ready for any leftover fuel.
- Remove the old filter and install the new one in the correct flow direction (there’s usually an arrow on the housing).
- Re-clamp the hoses, reconnect the battery, and you’re good to go.
If it’s the EFI model, some filters are built into the fuel pump assembly inside the tank, which means a little more work — removing the seat or access panel to pull the pump unit.
Good luck!
