If the front A/C on your Hiace isn’t blowing at all (no air movement), here’s what I’d check first:
- Blower motor fuse – Could just be a blown fuse. Check the fuse box (usually under the dash or in the engine bay) for anything labeled A/C or blower.
- Blower motor itself – Turn the fan to high and listen close. If it’s silent, the motor might be dead or the connector might’ve come loose.
- Blower resistor – If it only works on some fan speeds (like high only, or low only), that resistor pack is usually the culprit. It controls fan speed.
- A/C control switch or knob – Sometimes the switch on the dashboard goes bad, especially if it feels loose or doesn’t click like it should.
- Wiring / connector – Loose plug behind the glovebox or corrosion on terminals can also kill the blower.
If the fan is blowing but you're just not getting cold air, that’s a whole different checklist — could be refrigerant level, compressor, or expansion valve. But if it’s not blowing at all, start with power to the blower motor.
Of course, not much troubleshooting we can advise you given the limited information. But the service manual will cover air conditioning system repairs, complete with step-by-step instructions, clear images, and exploded-view illustrations.
