Ah, this is a common problem for the K1300GT, especially as the bike gets older. If the INFO button is not working on the left-hand combo switch, usually it's one of two things:
- Contacts inside the switch are dirty or corroded
- Or the whole switch module is failing, which sadly happens more than it should on these bikes
What you can try:
- First, spray a bit of electrical contact cleaner (like DeoxIT or WD-40 Contact Cleaner) around the button — get it down into the edges and press the button a few times to work it in.
- If that doesn’t fix it, you’ll need to open up the switch housing (carefully — it’s delicate inside) and clean the contacts manually.
- Worst case, the switch might need to be replaced — BMW sells it as a full unit, and it ain’t cheap.
If you’re up to pulling it apart, this 2008-2009 BMW K1300GT (K44) Service & Repair Manual Software covers the full procedure in there — wiring, disassembly, and how to test the contacts properly. So we recommend checking that out ✌🏻
