So your Sanyo smart TV isn’t showing the apps anymore, and you’ve always used HDMI2 to get to them?
Just to clear things up — HDMI2 is an input. That means the apps probably weren’t built into the TV itself. Most likely, you had something plugged into that port — like a streaming stick (Roku, Fire Stick, maybe an Android box) — and that’s where the apps were coming from.
If HDMI2 isn’t showing anything now, it’s probably because:
- The device isn’t plugged in anymore
- The device is plugged in but not powered on
- Or the HDMI port or cable’s acting up
Here’s what I’d do:
- Check what’s physically plugged into HDMI2
- Make sure that device has power (some need USB power too)
- Try switching to a different HDMI port or cable just to rule that out
- If your TV has its own apps, press the Home or Smart button on the remote and see if it takes you to the TV’s built-in menu
If you could provide us the model number of the TV, we can tell you if it actually has smart features or not. Otherwise, you’re probably dealing with an external device that’s just not firing up.
