Yep, the fuel filter on the LT46 is located under the passenger seat, right up near the tank, facing forward. And nope — you ain't gettin’ it from underneath.
Here’s how you actually get to it:
- Lift or remove the passenger seat — some of 'em you can tilt up, others you gotta unbolt.
- Pull up the rubber floor mat or carpet, and there should be a metal panel or access cover underneath. Pop that off and boom — there’s your filter.
Once you're in:
- Unclip the lines (probably got those annoying squeeze tabs or spring clips)
- Undo the bracket or clamp
- Yank the old filter out, slap the new one in
- Prime it if needed — either cycle the key a few times or bleed it manually if it’s being stubborn
If you try from underneath, you’ll just end up swearing at the chassis rails and fuel lines. Trust me — top down’s the only way here.
If you need more detailed instructions, the service manual often provides them. So feel free to reach out to us with more details on your LT, and we'll be happy to point you to the right direction.
