For the Ford Edge, coolant replacement is typically recommended by the factory at the following intervals:
- 2007–2014 (1st Gen): Replace coolant at 100,000 miles or 5 years, then every 50,000 miles or 3 years after that.
- 2015–2023 (2nd Gen): Same deal — first change at 100,000 miles or 5 years, then every 50,000 miles or 3 years.
If your coolant looks rusty, murky, or you're having overheating issues, it might be time for a change even sooner. But that’s the interval Ford generally recommends.
