Changing the battery on a Ram’s pretty straightforward. Pop the hood, you’ll see it sitting there on the driver’s side.
First, always knock off the negative cable (the black one) so you don’t spark anything, then the positive. There’s usually a little clamp or bracket holding the battery down. Pull that off and lift the old one out. Careful; they’re heavier than they look.
Drop the new battery in the same way the old one came out, tighten the bracket so it doesn’t slide around, then hook your positive cable back on first, negative last. Give the terminals a little wiggle to make sure they’re snug. Fire it up and you’re good. That's pretty much it!
Of course, if you want the complete step-by-step procedures from the manufacturer, the service manual covers that. In the case you'd like to grab one for your Ram, you can reach out to us with more details on your model and we'll be happy to assist you further ✌🏻
