On the 2007 BMW K1200GT, cylinder No. 1 is located on the left side of the bike, when sitting in the rider's position (facing forward).
BMW numbers their cylinders from front to back, starting on the rider's left. So No. 1 is the forward-most cylinder on the left side of the transverse inline-four engine.
