No spark on any cylinder? That usually means something upstream is killing the whole ignition system. Not likely all the coils just died at once.
First thing I’d check is the kill switch — make sure the lanyard's clipped in right. Those things love to ground the ignition when they’re even a little off. Seen guys chase their tails for hours over that.
Then try the ignition switch — sometimes it’s not sending power to the ignition box. Jiggle the key around while cranking, see if spark kicks in.
If that’s all good, you’re probably looking at a bad stator or trigger, especially if it’s an older 2-stroke. You’ll need a multimeter to check resistance on those wires (manual has specs). If the stator’s not putting out juice, no spark for anybody.
Could also be the CDI box (or power pack), but I’d test everything else first — those aren’t cheap.
And don’t forget grounds. Crusty or loose ground cables will shut the whole thing down.
Of course it's kinda hard to troubleshoot the issue given the limited information here. But feel free to reach out to us with more details on your Mercury outboard so we can assist you further ✌🏻
