On the 2014 iLoad (TQ), the door status is usually triggered by plunger-style switches in the B-pillar or sliding door frame — those little rubber buttons that get pressed in when the door closes.
You can do a couple things:
-
Manually press and hold the door switch (or tape it down) — this tricks the system into thinking the door’s closed.
-
Some folks stick a rubber grommet or foam block in there to keep it pressed while the door’s physically open.
-
If you’re working on something longer term, you can unplug the switch connector behind the trim to break the signal — but that might trigger a warning light depending on how picky the BCM is.
Those are the commonly used tricks. Anyhow, the service manual includes wiring diagrams and switch locations if you want to go a bit deeper or disable it more cleanly.
