Ah, no worries. Threading the BERNINA 830 ain’t too bad once you’ve done it a couple times. First thing — lift the presser foot so your tension discs open up. Stick your spool on the pin up top, slap the cap on it, and pull the thread through that little metal guide near the top.
Now bring the thread down toward the front of the machine, loop it around the tension thingy (you’ll feel it kinda lock in), then back up and thread it through the take-up lever — that’s the metal piece that goes up and down when the needle moves. Thread goes through that right to left.
After that, bring it down again through a couple more guides and straight through the needle, front to back. If your eyes aren’t feeling up to the task, use the needle threader — that little lever deal by the needle.
Don’t forget the bobbin underneath. Drop it in the case, pull the thread through the slot until it clicks under tension, then you’re good. Turn the handwheel once and the top thread will catch the bottom one. Pull both out under the foot and you’re ready to roll.
Hope that helps! Don't hesitate to let us know if you get stuck or if the thread’s giving you a hard time ✌🏻
