This manual specifically covers the 2004 Nissan 350Z, including both the Coupe and Roadster (convertible) versions equipped with the VQ35DE engine and either the 6-speed manual (FS6R31A) or 5-speed automatic (RE5R05A) transmissions.
It includes full OEM procedures for engine service, drivetrain, suspension, electrical systems, and convertible top mechanisms — so if your 2005 model shares the same engine and transmission setup, a large portion of the manual will still apply directly.
However, it's worth noting that some 2005 350Z models (especially manual-transmission variants) came with an updated version of the VQ35DE engine, often referred to as the "Rev-Up" version. This version had a few mechanical differences, including revised cam profiles, a higher redline, and different ECU tuning.
This manual does not include the revised specs, redline limits, or camshaft timing related to that updated 2005 variant. So while most procedures will still be useful, certain engine-related sections may not match exactly if you’ve got the updated powertrain.
