Most Sea Ray 360 Sundancer models powered by MerCruiser 8.1 engines came with V-drive transmissions — specifically ZF Hurth units — which typically run a 2.00:1 gear reduction. That’s the most common factory setup.
If your 360 happens to be equipped with Bravo Three sterndrives (less common on this model), the ratio could instead be 2.00:1 or 2.20:1, depending on the prop configuration and production year.
To confirm for your exact boat, the quickest way is to check the brass tag or stamped plate on the transmission itself — it’ll show the ratio directly. Alternatively, if you have the original Sea Ray build sheet or owner docs, the spec should be listed there too.
Hope that helps!
