Losing torque and seeing that injection light usually means something’s not right in the Valvetronic or one of its sensors — common on those N46 engines in the 118i. Could be a stuck eccentric shaft or a bad Valvetronic motor. The manual can help you tear it down properly and reassemble it without snapping any bolts or messing up the gasket sealing.
