This manual specifically covers the Craftsman Lawn Tractor model 247.28901, which is equipped with a 17.5 HP Kohler engine and a 7-speed manual (shift-on-the-go) transmission. It does not cover automatic or hydrostatic transmission models, unfortunately.
That said, if your tractor has the same Kohler 17.5 HP engine but a different transmission (such as an automatic or hydrostatic drive), this manual will still be extremely helpful — the vast majority of engine, electrical, cutting deck, and chassis procedures are still fully applicable.
