If grease is showing up on the swing reduction gear dipstick instead of gear oil, that’s usually a sign the wrong lubricant was used. Or worse, that water or debris has gotten into the housing and caused the oil to thicken or emulsify.
Normally, you should be seeing clean gear oil, not anything that looks or feels like grease.
I'd recommend you drain it and inspect the oil condition. If it's milky, thick, or contaminated, flush the gear case and refill it with the proper spec gear oil (usually 80W-90 or similar, depending on the model — this will be listed in the manual). Also check for damaged seals or breather blockages that could have caused contamination in the first place.
The good thing is, this Hyundai R220LC-9A service manual does walk you through inspecting and servicing the swing reduction gear step by step, including oil type, drain/refill locations, and torque specs if you need to open it up.
All the information you need to keep your machine running at its peak is in there too, so you may wanna check it out 👍🏻
