If you're driving a KA/KB Triton, the ability to connect a phone for hands-free calls depends heavily on whether your truck came with the factory Bluetooth system (not all models had it, especially the early ones).
If yours does have Bluetooth, here’s the basic process:
-
Turn on the ignition and your phone’s Bluetooth.
-
On the Triton’s audio or infotainment unit (usually a button labeled “Phone” or “Setup”), go into the Bluetooth pairing mode.
-
On your phone, search for new devices. It’ll probably show up as “Mitsubishi Motors” or something similar.
-
Pair the devices. It may ask for a PIN (try 0000 or 1234 if it doesn’t display one).
-
Once connected, you should be able to receive calls through the car’s system.
But if your Triton doesn't have Bluetooth, you’ll need an aftermarket solution. A lot of folks install a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the aux port or even replace the head unit with one that supports Android Auto/CarPlay or basic hands-free calling.
