Ah yes, on this generation of Ram 1500, the turn signal system can be a little confusing to track down, especially since the fuses and relays aren’t always labeled super clearly.
First off, the turn signals don’t use a traditional “flasher fuse” like older trucks. Instead, they run through the combination flasher unit, which is a little relay-style module usually located behind the knee panel under the steering wheel, clipped to the fuse block or tucked near the steering column. It handles both the hazard and turn signal function.
There is a fuse involved too—it’s usually labeled something generic like “INT LPS” or “Hazard” in the under-dash fuse panel. On most models, it’s a 15A fuse, and it might not specifically say “turn signal” or “flasher,” which makes it easy to miss.
Since your bulbs are good, I’d check:
-
That 15A fuse under the dash (use a test light or swap it out if unsure),
-
The combination flasher module (they’re known to go bad and aren’t too expensive),
-
And make sure the hazard switch isn’t half-engaged. On these trucks, a stuck hazard switch can kill the signals completely.
The service manual gives you a full wiring diagram and shows exactly where the flasher unit is mounted if you need to dig deeper. So if you really want to know what's wrong with it, and perhaps are looking for the troubleshooting guide you need, the manual would be your superb tool.
Good luck!
