On the Honda GCV160, the fuel filter isn't like the big inline canister types you see on cars. Instead, it’s usually a small mesh screen built right into the fuel tank outlet or inside the fuel line near the carburetor.
If you're looking for it, trace the fuel line coming out of the bottom of the tank. Some models will have a tiny in-line filter right there in the hose (just a small plastic cylinder). On others, especially the basic versions, the filter is part of the fuel shutoff valve or molded into the tank fitting, and you won’t see it unless you pull the tank off.
