Not necessarily. Both engines are 3.7L V6, but the key difference is Flex Fuel capability. The standard 3.7L V6 runs on gasoline only. The 3.7L V6 Flex Fuel engine can run on gasoline or E85 ethanol blend (or any mix of the two).
The only real differences are in the fuel system — injectors, maybe a few sensors, and the ECM calibration to handle ethanol.
