The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) on the Santa Fe's 2.7L Delta V6 is located on the lower rear side of the engine, near the transmission bell housing. You’ll find it bolted into the engine block, just above the oil pan.
Best way to get to it is from underneath. You might need to remove the plastic splash guard to get better access. It’s held in with a single 10mm bolt, and the electrical connector clips onto it pretty tightly, so be gentle when unplugging it.
In any case, the manual should point out the exact location of the CKP.
