This is an easy fix if you know where to look. The adjuster is right under the center console, near the parking brake handle. Just pull back the plastic cover or boot around the lever, and you’ll see a 10mm adjuster nut.
Loosen the nut a bit first, then tighten it slowly until the handle starts getting some resistance around 3-4 clicks up. Once it feels snug but not overly tight, test it — pull it up fully and make sure it holds the car in place but also releases completely when you drop the lever back down.
If it’s still not holding well, you might need to check the rear brakes. If they’re worn or out of adjustment, tightening the cable won’t do much. But if the rear brakes are fine, this little tweak should get your parking brake working like new. Quick and easy job, maybe 10-15 minutes tops.
Good luck!
