The 2005 Toyota Tundra is a solid truck, but like anything, it’s got its weak spots. One of the most common problems is rust on the frame. Toyota even had a recall on this because the frames were prone to corrosion, especially in areas with harsh winters. If you’re looking at one, crawl under there and check for rust—it can be a dealbreaker.
Another thing is the rear leaf springs. They’re known to sag over time, especially if the truck’s been used for heavy towing or hauling. It’s not a hard fix, but worth keeping an eye on.
