Fiat recommends changing the oil every 10,000 miles or 12 months for most models, like the Fiat 500, under normal driving conditions. However, if you’re driving in severe conditions—lots of stop-and-go traffic, extreme temperatures, or frequent short trips—you might want to do it every 5,000-7,500 miles to keep the engine in top shape.
I’ve found that sticking to the shorter interval can extend the life of your engine, especially if you’re running a turbocharged model. Always use the oil type recommended in the manual to ensure the best performance!
