The Audi A6 is a great car, but it’s not without its disadvantages. First off, maintenance and repairs can get pricey. The parts are high-quality, but they’re also expensive, and you’ll need specialized tools for some jobs. If you’re not ready to handle a bit of upkeep yourself, those costs can add up fast.
Another downside is that older models are prone to electrical issues—things like faulty sensors, infotainment glitches, or quirky door locks. And let’s not forget the turbocharged engines. While they’re powerful and smooth, they can be a bit finicky, especially if you slack on oil changes or don’t use the right fluids.
That said, if you stay on top of maintenance (and maybe grab a good repair manual), the A6 is a solid, luxury ride. It just needs a little extra care compared to your average car.
