I’ve worked on plenty of 2008-2010 Mercedes C300s, and they’re solid cars—but they’ve got their quirks. One big thing to watch for is the balance shaft in the V6 engine. If it wears out, you’re looking at some serious downtime if you don’t catch it early.
Then there’s the electrical stuff—window regulators, infotainment glitches, that kind of thing. Not a dealbreaker, but it’ll keep you on your toes. And don’t forget the transmission. If it starts shifting rough, you’re probably overdue for a fluid change or might even need a software tweak.
But if you’re handy, a good repair manual will walk you through most of it.
