Many consider the 2013 E63 AMG to be one of the most reliable years. This was the final year of the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine (M156) before Mercedes switched to the twin-turbocharged V8. By 2013, many of the earlier issues with the M156, like premature camshaft wear and head bolt failures, had been addressed.
If you prefer the newer twin-turbo models, the 2014-2016 E63 AMG (W212 facelift) is also a solid choice, offering improved technology and refined performance. Regular maintenance and a good service history are key to keeping any E63 reliable, regardless of the year.
