The SD card in your Mazda is primarily used for the navigation system. It stores the maps and software needed for the built-in GPS to function. Without the SD card, the navigation system won’t work, even though other features of the infotainment system, like music and Bluetooth, will still operate normally.
If you ever need to update your maps, you’ll do it through the SD card by connecting it to a computer and using Mazda’s map update tool. Just make sure you don’t lose it—it’s an essential part of the system!
