ATVs flip easily because of their design—most have a high center of gravity and a narrow stance. It doesn’t take much for them to tip, especially on steep slopes or if you hit a rut too fast. I’ve seen it happen to even experienced riders when they’re not paying attention to the terrain or forget to shift their weight properly.
The trick is knowing your limits and the ATV’s limits. Stay low on climbs, take corners slower than you think you need to, and never overload it. Oh, and don’t try showing off on uneven ground—it’s not worth the tumble!
